“America's Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull Documentary” to be Screened at the the 2010 Festiv'Elles / Festival international des Femmes de Montréal

America's Victoria provides view into 19th century suffragist who was the first woman to address the House Judiciary Committee demanding the right to vote

America's Victoria, Remembering Victoria WoodhullATLANTA, GA / MediaQuire / August 31st, 2010 --  Festiv'Elles / Festival international des Femmes de Montréal (Festival international of women of Montreal) will present America's Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull,  the story chronicles the life of Victoria Woodhull, the first woman who ran for US President in 1872.  Victoria Woodhull campaigned on a platform of "free love and equal rights for women."

The screening of America's Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhullis scheduled for September 23rd.  The filmmaker, Victoria lynn Weston will make a presentation followed by a Q/A after the screening.

Steve Murray, journalist with the Atlanta Journal & Constitution says, "If you spliced the genes of Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Heidi Fleiss and Margaret Thatcher, you might have someone like Victoria Woodhull."

Victoria Woodhull became the first woman to campaign for US President in 1872. America’s Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull  is a wonderful chronicle of the life of one of the most important and unrecognized women in US history. Although she was a radical suffragist, she refused to restrict her Presidential campaign to the issue of women's suffrage. Instead, she advocated a single sexual standard for men and women, legalization of prostitution and reform of marriage. America’s Victoria  combines rare archival images, Woodhull's own words (read by Kate Capshaw), and illuminating interviews with contemporary feminist, Gloria Steinem to present a fascinating portrait of this remarkably brave woman.

Gloria Steinem says, "Knowing about Victoria Woodhull inspires woman to be daring, outrageous and creative!"

Victoria lynn Weston has produced a series of film/video documentaries whose works include; America's Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull; featuring Gloria Steinem and Kate Capshaw. And,"The Intuitive Factor; Genius or Chance; featuring Gary Zukav and parapsychologist Jeffrey Mishlove. These programs were featured on PBS Television, The Wisdom Channel and Canadian Broadcasts. As a producer, she launched the first online film festival showcasing award winning independent films, documentaries, animations from around the world in an annual Zoie Films Festival.

In addition to utilizing the world-wide internet for Zoie Films Festival, she launched Zoie Cellular Cinema Festival where Telco subscribers from the Netherlands and Pacific Rim areas including Sprint in the US could download film shorts for the cell screen.

Victoria has been an FM radio host of Power Predictions; in Atlanta, Georgia and a featured guest on dozens of radio, television shows and print media including; the Atlanta PARADE magazine, The Atlanta Business Journal, ABC Talk Radio; CNBC; BUSINESS WEEK Online; INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE, WIRED NEWS and THE NEW YORK TIMES.
