What was your first psychic experience about?
I can remember, as a child, having spirits come to me at night but in the form of dots -- like if you held your breath and opened your eyes -- except these dots would form figures. During the day, however, I saw them as I would see you. I later figured they came to me this way so that I wouldn’t be afraid.
In the film The Lovely Bones, Susie Salmon was brutally murdered in an underground bunker in a cornfield. When she initially left her body and ran through the cornfield, she didn't realize she was dead. Do you feel Susie's experience is common for people who are met with a brutal death; to not realize they are dead?
Yes, indeed. When we first leave our bodies we aren’t instantly transported to the Afterlife. Often, we are aware of what is happening around our physical body-- we have only just “stepped out”. The Spirits that have died by murder, suicide, or even a horrible car accident will transition into the light. However, there are a few that may be in a state of confusion that choose to remain Earthbound for they feel they have unfinished business to take care of. Contrary to popular opinion this “business” is not so much about finding a killer but making sure the family grieves properly and that everyone is alright before making the transition.
But, wouldn’t you agree to the idea that some spirits might do exactly what Susie did – I don’t believe all spirits are so structured. In the film, Susie’s guide, (another one of murderer’s victims attempts to guide Susie to look ahead.. but Susie has some unfinished earthly experiences that she wants to own. In addition, intentionally or not, she seems to have guided by former life experiences her loved ones to the crime scene.
Sure, I believe that some spirits would find a need to understand and process what happened to them. And in Susie’s case she kept being drawn back to where her body was -- the house, she was afraid to go in. She sensed something about that house ... She also kept “visiting” the field which could be a true account if a Spirit was trying to process or remember what happened. A Spirit doing this type of thing is typically Earth Bound -- which means they have chosen not to go to the light either because they were confused or they felt they had unfinished business.
However, I know, from dealing with Spirit that the majority of these answers can be experienced in the After Life Review.
In Jane Roberts book, Seth Speaks - she addresses heaven as "how you visualize it to be..." The heaven Susie Salmon occupies looks a little like a Flower Power world that she might have imagined since she was murdered in 1973. Do you believe that Heaven is what we visualize it to be?
I believe the Afterlife or Heaven is a world filled with beauty and wonder! I believe in a lot of ways it parallels this world -- minus all the negativity and destruction we have caused. Imagine a world filled with love, created by love, and is an outward expression of love and you will only be scraping the surface of the wonder the Otherside has to offer.
Film critic, Roger Ebert says, "Seems to me that heaven, by definition outside time and space, would have neither colors nor a lack of colors -- would be a state with no sensations. Nor would there be thinking there, let alone narration. In an eternity spent in the presence of infinite goodness, you don't go around thinking, "Man! Is this great!" Rather..."You simply are."
I agree with Ebert’s last sentence; however, the rest is rather dull and boring if you ask me. Nor does it match what I have heard within my dealings with Spirit.
Taking Ebert's point - in the film, CITY OF ANGELS Meg Ryan's character; Dr. Maggie Rice falls in love with an angel named Seth played by Nicholas Cage. In one scene, Seth communicated with and experienced through Dr. Rice to "taste a juicy pear" and "to see vibrant colors that life offers," because Seth, as an angel did not have the sensations as humans do.
Do you believe that spirits communicate with loved ones "to taste - to experience - to have those humanly sensations?"
I believe Spirits communicate with loved ones in the physical dimension to help them -- not to “taste” because they have had the experience already.
They don’t have a desire to want to re-experience because they can empathically draw on their own experience or the experience of the living. There is no need for a Spirit to have “humanly sensations.”
When you say “Spirit,” what exactly do you mean?
Unless, I am speaking with regards to a particular Spirit, the term Spirit is referring to collective consciousness; a divine source.
I believe in reincarnation and at one time embraced the concept that we reincarnate nine lives and then we’re free! When do feel that we reincarnate and prepare for our next life?
I believe it’s a choice if one wishes to reincarnate or not. I don’t believe it’s required, forced, or inevitable. And, judging from my experiences, there is no time limit to which we stay spiritually connected. We are connected by love and not the physical.
When our souls reach Heaven, do you believe that they have the ability to communicate, guide, and provide comfort to loved ones on earth?
Spirit can communicate, guide, and provide comfort to loved ones -- through After Death Communications.
As an example; You are going about your day and suddenly out of nowhere comes a thought, a memory, or a sensation that reminds you of a loved one that has transitioned. What is happening in the moment is a visitation from Spirit -- they are very much with you at that moment which sparked the otherwise random experience.
Another way Spirits can communicate with those in the physical reality is through Dreams. Pay close attention to a “dream” about a loved one -- listen to the messages being given. Write them down. Trust in them.
In Lovely Bones Susie Salmon’s murder robbed her of many “first time life experiences,” such as her first kiss. However, during the film, Susie does get her first kiss. This opened me up to the idea that possibly there are other spirits also desire and achieve their first time earthly experiences. What is your thought on this?
I would say that part of her reason for being alive wasn’t to attain such an experience. When we transition we do so at exactly the right moment and after we have gained the life lessons we needed. It’s completely the physical rational of the mind that we feel someone was taken too soon and missed out on such opportunities.
In the film, What Dreams May Come, which has been described as “one of the most elaborate metaphysical love stories ever tackled by Hollywood.” It’s a story about a happy couple, who after both dying tragic deaths meet again in the afterlife. Robin Williams plays a doctor, who, in a feat of metaphysical heroism, travels into the netherworld to rescue his wife and soul mate from eternal damnation.
Do you think it's possible to save another person's soul in hell?
I do not believe in hell. So, I don’t believe in the need to save ones soul from it. I believe in a process called the After Life Review -- whereby you experience everything -- every interaction, every experience; smell, thought, feeling and not only from your perspective but the prospective of everyone whose life you touched. However, for some people, this experience may be and feel hellish, especially if they were a murderer.
Give me a detailed example of being out and about and seeing spirits. Describe the scene, the physical or emotional connection.
Spirits are all around us; I have witnessed them at bookstores, malls, restaurants and simply walking down the street.
For example, when walking down the mall’s promenade there are tables outside the coffee shops. When I look at a table, sometimes I see Spirit sitting with a loved one.
One time, I saw a grandmother figure standing over her infant grandchild who was staring back at her. I could feel her immense sense of both love and pride for having such experience. I saw her glance to her daughter and communicate, “You are doing good. I’m so proud of you.” And for a moment, there is a pause within her daughters face -- as if she is lost in thought.
Every session is unique because different information and validation comes through. I learn more and more about the Afterlife in each session and I witness the healing and closure it brings to a client.
What is one of your favorite films that presented a heavenly scene where spirits communicated with humans on earth?
"Illusion", staring Kirk Douglas, has a scene where he is reviewing the Akashic Records of his son. Throughout the movie you see that his son has “made up” thoughts of what his father would say with regards to his life. However, in the end, he realizes through this type of telepathic communication that his father did indeed love him.
When you have a session with your clients; are you relaying messages from the dead or delivering messages to the dead from the living?
I am doing neither really. I am allowing messages to flow through my lips from one realm of existence to another. Spirit works through me to get messages to the living. When you think of a loved one it draws their energy to you. So, to get a message to the Otherside, you don’t need a Medium.
Let’s pretend that I’m a skeptic; how do I know that you are not merely using mental telepathy; thought transfer from one mind to another and picking up on thoughts and events that have transpired?
You wouldn’t know how I was getting a message; however, it’s important that even a skeptic listen to the validations being given. Often, I describe the personality; take on mannerisms, and even their diction. I have even described clothes and sense of style. In addition, I have taken “virtual tours” of a person’s house from the perspective of Spirit and describing various layouts and placements of their personal objects.
What kinds of visual effects do you experience, anything like the films?
I perceive the world around me very much like how, Melinda Gordon, in “The Ghost Whisperer” interacts with Spirit near the end of the show. They don’t come to me looking “dead” and then phase back to normal.
If you could be any of the discussed film characters living on the other side, who would you chose to be and why?
I would be Robin Williams in “What Dreams May Come” because his world that he was living in and creating was very similar to how I see the Afterlife yet, except there is no “dark place”. I believe that on the Otherside our thoughts do manifest different experiences.
