“TRAVEL THE WRITE WAY” BLOG OFFERS CONTEST FOR UP-AND-COMING TRAVEL WRITERS

Just six weeks into its debut, TraveltheWriteWay.com, launched by author and group travel expert Linda Dini Jenkins, was featured as one of the best travel blogs on travelblogs.com.

On the heels of this success, Linda is sponsoring a contest for up-and-coming travel writers. Her blog speaks to the joys of both travel and travel writing, and features stories about destinations, food, and the art of journaling and capturing the sights, smells, sounds, tastes and emotions elicited by travel.

The Scoop: Send Linda your travel essay of 1000 words or less as a Word doc (.doc files only, please) attachment to ldjenkins@aol.com. Linda will personally review all entries.

The Prize: One winner will be featured as a guest blogger to “Travel the Write Way” and will also receive a signed copy of Linda’s most recent book, Up at the Villa: Travels with My Husband.

ABOUT LINDA DINI JENKINS

Linda Dini Jenkins is author of the award-winning book Up at the Villa: Travels with my Husband, a beautifully illustrated collection of travel stories, personal essays and poetry.

Up at the Villa has recently been nominated as an outstanding non-fiction work for the Library of Virginia Literary Awards, which recognizes and celebrates distinguished Virginia writers. It has also been named a finalist in ForeWord Reviews’  2009 Book of the Year Award in the travel category and was a finalist in USA Books News’s 2009 Travel Guide category.
